The project focuses on using scientific, mainly sociological achievements to analyse election processes.
The ACEEEO General Assembly approved on our Annual Conference in Constanta, Romania, the project proposal to create an International Scientific Network of Elections. The main goal of this initiative is to use scientific, first of all sociological achievements for analyzing election processes.
As the first step toward realization of the initiative, include discussions on “International experience of applying sociology in Electoral processes” into the agenda of the 2009 Annual Conference held in Yerevan, Armenia.
You can reach the resumes, presentations and recommendations here.
Our idea was to discuss and compare the lessons already learned by sociologists about the election processes. Consequently, we didn’t conduct new researches and we recommended using already existing sociological results for those ACEEEO members, who joined the project.
