ACEEEO’s main operative organ, the Executive Board held its meeting in Budapest on 10 March 2016. The representatives of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Lithuania, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, the Russian Federation and also guests of the Association took part in the event, where they discussed the most important issues of the ACEEEO.
Such current topic was accepting the Annual Report 2015, which will later be submitted to the General Assembly, and the implementation of the Strategic Plan. The intention of the A-WEB for signing an agreement with the Association was raised, which means future opportunities for cooperation.
As the ACEEEO celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2016, the representatives discussed the roadmap of festive events and publications. The Secretariat presented the project of the book ‘ACEEEO 25 - Development of Electoral Systems in Central and Eastern Europe since 1991’, and preparations were also mentioned for the 25th Annual Conference of the General Assembly in Tirana later this year.
