New dates to ensure wider participation
28th Annual Conference and General Assembly meeting of the ACEEEO
24-26 September 2019, Ljubljana, Slovenia
The Organization Committee of the 28 th ACEEEO Conference after several negotiations with stakeholders decided that due to shortage of accommodation at the previously given time, by postponing the Conference by one week would enable a wider participation at the conference.
The new dates are 24-26 September 2019.
All the other details remain unchanged: this year we expect to discuss the topic of ‘Judicial protection of electoral rights and the transparency of elections’, with the active participation of about 150 various electoral stakeholders.
In the frame of the theoretical aspects we will focus on questions of the judicial protection of electoral rights and transparency. During the conference we would like to focus on the ways the dialogue and cooperation between the EMBs and Courts can be effective; active and passive aspects of the protection of the right to vote; the communication of EMBs with citizens through mass- and social media; and the transparency as a goal that can be reached by providing the sufficient protection of individual rights.

Continuing the long-lasting tradition the ACEEEO Conference gives opportunity to the electoral officials to learn about the recent developments in the field of electoral technology. In the frame of the Exhibition, commercial companies producing electoral solutions will present their products to the participants of the event, focusing on the protection of voters’ information and all digital data used in elections; the securing technology of the voting process from a cyber-security perspective; the communication of trust towards voters; independence of elections; the importance of prevent fraud.
