The 25th Annual conference and the General Assembly Meeting of the ACEEEO had been organized in Tirana, Albania on 21-23 September 2016. The event was hosted by the Central Election Commission of Albania.
The topic for this high-level meeting of EMBs was ‘Development of Electoral Systems and Processes in the last 25 years’. It gave an opportunity to have an overview about the changes of electoral systems and processes in the last quarter-century, to present the main tendencies, best practices and problems and the way electoral management bodies dealt with them. According to our tradition, in the prospect of our annual conference the possibilities were suggested for regional and cross-regional consultations, networking as well as for learning on recent developments in election technology.
The discussion of 140 electoral professionals from 40 countries including representatives of electoral management bodies, professionals of international organizations, election technology suppliers and academics who acquainted with their experiences both from a theoretical and practical point of view.
The 24th Annual conference and the General Assembly Meeting of the ACEEEO had been organized in Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova on 9-11 September 2015. The event was hosted by the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Moldova.
The 23rd annual conference and the General Assembly Meeting of the ACEEEO was held in Bucharest, Romania on 4-6 September 2014. The event was hosted by the Permanent Electoral Authority of Romania.
The 22nd annual conference and the General Assembly Meeting of the ACEEEO was held in Warsaw, Poland on 12-14 September 2013. The event was hosted by the National Election Commission and National Election Office of Poland.

The Association of European Election Officials (ACEEEO) that was established 1991 in Budapest held its 20th jubilee conference on 16-18 June 2011 in Budapest.
It has been the 19th time so far that the Annual Conference of the Association of European Election Officials (ACEEEO) was organized. In 2010 participants of the professional yearly gathering focused on discussing different aspects and issues of voters’ registration.

The 17th ACEEEO annual conference was held and hosted by our Romanian colleagues, in Constanta (Romania) from 11 to 13 September 2008.
The annual conference of the ACEEEO in 2007 was a significant event in the life of the ACEEEO due to the following reasons.

Almost exactly 10 years ago, the Association of Central and Eastern European Election Officials (ACEEEO) held its annual conference and General Assembly meeting here in Siófok.

The 11th Annual conference titled “International Election Standards in the Legislation and Practical Activities of the countries of Europe” was held in Moscow (Russian Federation) in 26-28 September, 2002.
In 2001, the ACEEEO celebrated its 10th Anniversary on Brijuni Islands, Croatia. On our jubilee conference we summarized and evaluated the first ten years of the Association as well as discussed current issues of Transparent election campaign financing.
Introduction and use of information technology in elections (Warsaw, Poland)
The 8th annual conference of the Association was held in the capital city of the Slovak Republic between 6-8 October 1999.
His Excellency, President of the Republic of Lithuania, Valdas Adamkus welcomed the conference guests and underlined that organization and execution of democratic elections became an integral part of the progress and modernaization of countries which regained independence in the latter decade.
